The Pastoralist Goals Foundation (PGF), established in 2014, is a community development organization dedicated to empowering pastoralist communities. Our work centres on vital areas such as advancing girl-child rights and education, promoting environmental stewardship, advocating for indigenous self-determination, securing land and tenure rights, and championing human rights advocacy.

We believe that indigenous communities have the capacity, and the agency to solve the problems affecting them, our work is therefore to support community Goals, and make them our own.

OUR VISION

To be a trusted partner with indigenous pastoralist communities, co-creating sustainable solutions that ensure a future where their self-defined goals are achieved and sustained globally.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to champion the self-determination of indigenous pastoralist communities, strengthening their inherent capacity to lead sustainable development that secures their self-defined goals, flourishing livelihoods, and vibrant cultural heritage.

We believe in shifting and sharing power, recognizing the inherent strength and sovereignty of communities to shape their own future through self-determination.
Presence
Our enduring presence within pastoralist communities ensures trust, continuity, and a deep understanding of local realities.
Progress
We pursue transformative, sustainable progress not imposed change, but growth that uplifts communities on their own terms, with lasting impact and dignity
